Where Relaxation meets Restoration

I have always struggled to find my place in the world. When I was younger, I tried to fit in with different crowds which resulted in making many poor choices. Coupled with body-image issues, I would endlessly compare myself to others. But Jesus was always there!

“For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.”  Isaiah 41:13 NLT

Over and over Jesus has taken my right hand and led me to a place of belonging and rest.   I have gone through a painful failed adoption, struggled with anxiety and control issues, and was moments away from divorce when God intervened and restored.

“For I am about to do something new.  See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?  I will make a pathway through the wilderness.  I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NLT

Without my faith, I would not have endured my younger brother’s death after a life-long struggle with addiction. I now know what it means to have joy during trials and suffering. Throughout this season, I saw the goodness of God.  He was faithful, merciful, and compassionate.  He brought so many people into my life that walked alongside our entire family through this painful journey.  For me, it was a coach. A coach helped me refocus my eyes on Jesus.  It was through the coaching process that I recognized that my spiritual gifts could minister to my brother and be an encouragement for my parents. Looking back, God has always placed people in my life to walk alongside me to point me lovingly and prayerfully to a God that heals, forgives, restores, and rejoices when I walk in freedom.

“Instead, be very glad – for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all of the world.”  1 Peter 4:13 NLT

I have been a massage therapist for 12 years. I went into massage because I love to nurture people and enjoy seeing them restored physically. As I prayerfully pondered my next career, it became clear that I was yearning to help restore people more holistically. Not only body, but mind and spirit as well. I would love to keep doing massage until I retire but I know that physically that isn’t a reality. A dear friend of mine saw something in me and encouraged me to investigate life coaching, and here I am!  What I didn’t think was possible, God did. With massage I have learned to listen and have learned that you cannot separate body, mind, and spirit.  As a coach, I will provide a listening ear and encourage you on your journey to rest, restore, and rejoice!

I recently saw an elk and bear in the wild.  It was different than seeing them at the zoo.  This time they were uncaged, unhindered and where they were supposed to be, free.  Free to be and do what they were made for.  It was majestic!  I want you to be free and unhindered as well! As your coach, I will come alongside and meet you where you are at and encourage you as you identify your values and discover your strengths and God-given gifts so that you can radiate the light and hope of Jesus as you become uncaged and confidently into the next chapter of life.  God has given us these gifts and strengths to glorify him and when we work together to uncover these gifts you, too, will discover freedom and joy!
